Huge thanks to Gary Gardella, Richie Gardella, Eric O’Sullivan, Karl O’Sullivan, Ryan Tuerck
I recently had a moment to catch up with my good friend Stephane Benini from Clash Productions, to find out what he’s been up to, and what the story was behind this Moby Video he’s been promoting on his facebook page, and this was his initial response…
“So i heard about this challenge on vimeo some times ago, here is the rules: Hello Future Vimeo. I shot the video in the middle east after a shooting at Yas Marina. I had my assistant, Joe, and the guys, Phil, Tom and Alan from CrankandPiston. It was more like a road trip with some great Porsches and friends.
I wanted to shoot at this spectacular place with this old plane, I like the contrast between the Porsches and the plane.
All was shot in about 3 hours and edited yesterday in 1 hour and submitted just before the dead line submission.
You can watch a test camera done with the 964 RS in the desert right here”
My video submitted to the music video contest for Moby is now officialy part of the competition ! Spread the video, share the link – THANKS
Benini Stephane
I wish him the best of luck and hope that you will help me spread the word about this Video Submission!

Straight from the lens of DeathMachine’s correspondent Karl O’Sullivan (on location), heres a quick glimpse of Mad Mike & Michael Essa being the first to lay down rubber at the Yas Marina in anticipation of this weekend’s event. Let the games begin, and good luck to all competitors involved.
?uestlove of the hip-hop group The Roots, teamed up with Nike once again to bring us something special. A dunk Hi with a button down lace cover, mmm thats different…. Just like last time it’s branded with his logo. They will be released tomorrow but unless you live in china your sh*t outta luck…well at least until they make their way to the states.
A few months ago Gardella Racing asked for drivers to sign up for their driver’s search by handing in a video interview answering a few questions that the team had requested. Here is what EOS had to say about it and as you can see, this is the extended version.
So this past weekend, through the grapevine, I heard that Gary Gardella had one of the drivers from the “Driver Search” stop by the shop. I had to take this opportunity to swing by and see what the hype was about and who it was. So as you can see from the picture above it’s Pat Cyr, rocking a Gardella Racing shirt (at the Gardella Racing garage). I don’t think this is evidence that Pat is their guy, but shows the team is taking the search very serious and from what I’m being told, an announcement will be made soon on who they chose. I really thought it was going to be Eric O’Sullivan but I witnessed this myself and threw my theory right out the window!
For those of you who have been on the edge of your seat waiting to hear the latest news on the Gardella Racing driver search a statement was made this morning on the team’s website. Seems as if they’ve narrowed it down to a Top 3. Congrats to all the driver’s that were considered and mentioned! I know this has been a difficult time for the Gardella Racing Team after the recent loss of their truck driver Bruce Soltys, but it appears they are back on track and ready to make some power moves in the drift scene!
“Driver Search- Top 3
December 22nd, 2010 Since we made the announcement for the second driver position on our Facebook page, everyone has given GR great feedback about all the drivers interested in the position. Just look at Marc Landerville, Jeff Jones and Eric O’Sullivan they must have had 500 comments alone on the GR Facebook page maybe even more. I really appreciate all the time and effort taken to make the videos and answer the questions outlined on our site. We received some great videos. By far, the most impressive one was from a well known past Formula Drift driver, who answered the questions while driving a missile car in a land far away.
It did not just take a good video to impress the team. Many things were considered, personality, logistics, communication skills / interviewing skills and last but not least, driving. I have come down to a few drivers that have really caught my attention and I think they will do phenomenal in Formula Drift in the near future with or without Gardella Racing. My top 3 picks are Patrick Cyr, Chelsea Denofa & Eric O’Sullivan. I will end up picking one of these three guys for the position and if the time frame works, I may even have them go head to head in one of the team cars.
I just can’t thank you all enough for your kindness towards my team after all the bull we have been through over the past month and a half. With the passing of Bruce (the team truck driver) and all the sponsor decks we had to work around the clock on, literally, time was just not on our side to keep in touch with all the drivers that signed up. We would like to apologize to those of you that may not have heard back from us right away; we will be sure to thank each and every one of you personally. Stay tuned, you should be hearing from us very shortly as we get ready to announce who will be our new driver in 2011.”
Economy is in the gutter, (huh)? says who…Birdman shelling out 2.1 MILLION for one of the worlds most exotic cars, damn that young money doesn’t look like its gonna get old anytime soon. I guess when your label is called Cash Money you gots to flaunt it somehow!!!
Red on the outside / red on the inside, even the keys are red! Do your thing Birdman, but damn did you really have to do it on the rain man? Drake and Lil Wayne’s, Right Above It, just fits this video so well.
Well after a solid year, deathmachines.net is still at it. We have really as progressed as much as we wanted, but we definitely have made a big move in the right direction. More updates will be coming to the site and we will be back at our features very soon. It’s has been a while now since our last feature, but we have not given up. The reason for this post, to say, “Thanks Mars, this song is for you, especially since we feel you are on another planet sometimes.” Also for you guys that don’t know anything about this song, check the history; if your are into music, it will shock you.
