It has been many years since the NHRA Pro Stock class has seen a Camaro body in competition. A long story, short, famous chassis builder Jerry Bickel mentioned that bodies for sportsman cars are being built now and a Pro Stock body may be on the way very soon.

Funny Car Ate a Guy
Monday, August 16th, 2010Barona 1/8 mile drag strip in California on the 24th of July 2010, was the scene of a nearly tragic Drag Racing accident. Luckily the man who was trapped in this car was fine. Its nice to see how many people came rushing to his aid. WOW…this really could have been much worse!
Pat Musi and brad Personett take 2 fuel injected cars to the NHRA Pro Mod Finals

KURT BUSH PREPPING FOR NHRA DEBUT
Monday, February 8th, 2010Competition Plus has an article on their site interviewing Kurt Bush, with some real good photos of his 1970 Dodge Challenger. The Challenger will be running a turbo charged Generation III Hemi engine on gasoline. This combination will be set up for the Super Gas Class. By no means is this my favorite car, but I think its real cool that he is getting involved in other forms of racing outside of circle track. Is Miller doing this since they got rid of Prudhomme’s team?

Monday, January 25th, 2010Melanie Troxel Signs In and Out Burgers
This is big news for the NHRA, we keep hearing about teams who are dropping out of the circuit, this time we have one coming back for 2010. Melanie Troxel, wife of Tommy Johnson JR, has signed a multi year deal with In and Out Burger. She is looking to win herself her first championship. She had a partnership with the company years ago when she was running in Top Alcohol Dragster and she was very successful with that program.

NHRA 4 Wide
Crazy news coming from Lowes Motor Speedway and NHRA stating they will be running 4 wide during competition. This should make for some exciting drag racing.
