Its a long time since I’ve seen an ‘off’ as violent as this. These guys were really lucky. Hirvonens Ford/Abu Dhabi team mate Jari-Matti Latvala leads the rally overnight from Petter Solberg in a Citroen.

Friday, July 30th, 2010The Ford Rally teams have been busy shaking down their Ford Fiestas in advance of this weekends X Games Rally contest. The venue for the test was a mock rally course that was constructed in the front yard of Ford Rally Driver Brian Deegan. Drivers Block, Brack, Foust and Deegan were there to put the Fiestas through their paces in preparation for the big X Games battle.

Friday, July 30th, 2010Earlier this week we saw Mikko Hirvonen testing before the 2010 WRC Rally Finland. This morning however, on SS4, the Finn spectacularly crashed out of his home rally just 9km into the stage. Reports are that the crew escaped without injury following the violent crash in which the Focus rolled 5 times.
