It’s no secret that the Northeast especially NJ was smacked with a massive snowstorm over the weekend! Here is a time lapse video of the strorm and its fury! Shot with a Canon DLSR on a tripod with a remote timer snapping a shot every 5 minutes. Giving you a 20hr sequence in 40 seconds! Thanks to Michael Black for hitting us with this interesting perspective on the snowstorm that put NJ in a chokehold for 24 hrs!
I have many dreams that I would like to fulfill in my lifetime. A weekend in Glamis with a toy hauler and an abundance of off road capable equipment, my family, and a few good friends…yup, thats one of em…Ohhh, yea and let us not forget multiple coolers filled with a plethora of fine spirits, for when it’s time to unwind around the fire at night! Here is a birds eye view of Glamis and some of its offerings, courtesy of a GO-PRO camera and an RC Plane!
for a long time I’ve been saying that somebody needs to drop a new Christmas song, cause some of them are just, well kinda boring. Then a few weeks ago I was pleasantly surprised by this Christmas carol, and once I saw the video I knew it was going to be something I would have to share on Christmas Eve with all my DM people! So please have a safe and Merry Christmas!
For those of you who do not celebrate Christmas, I’m sure you will still find a way to appreciate the festivities after catching a glimpse of this small peice of video heaven!
A friend in Canada just sent me a link to this video, of a friends girlfriend trying to hang with the boys. I guess someone forgot to tell her that Liberty’s don’t swim
Hot Rod Magazine recently teamed up with Mike Ryan and his Freightliner Race Truck at Irwindale Speedway to display an insane driving demo, & show the world that you don’t necessarily need a raced out sports car to drift. Mike Ryan is a seasoned stunt driver with more Hollywood credentials then most A-list movie stars. He also has pilotted his truck to 9 championships in his class at Pike Peak, and from 99-2003 he held the Modified Diesel Truck Top Speed 225.675 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Mr. Ryan also plays a signifigant role on a national level in educating people about semi-trucks and safety.
Could this be the first view of a possible second class added to Formual Drift in the future. It sure would be interesting to watch! Imagine showing up to the track with a Hauler thats just as capable as the cars it’s towing!
For those of you who have been on the edge of your seat waiting to hear the latest news on the Gardella Racing driver search a statement was made this morning on the team’s website. Seems as if they’ve narrowed it down to a Top 3. Congrats to all the driver’s that were considered and mentioned! I know this has been a difficult time for the Gardella Racing Team after the recent loss of their truck driver Bruce Soltys, but it appears they are back on track and ready to make some power moves in the drift scene!
“Driver Search- Top 3
December 22nd, 2010 Since we made the announcement for the second driver position on our Facebook page, everyone has given GR great feedback about all the drivers interested in the position. Just look at Marc Landerville, Jeff Jones and Eric O’Sullivan they must have had 500 comments alone on the GR Facebook page maybe even more. I really appreciate all the time and effort taken to make the videos and answer the questions outlined on our site. We received some great videos. By far, the most impressive one was from a well known past Formula Drift driver, who answered the questions while driving a missile car in a land far away.
It did not just take a good video to impress the team. Many things were considered, personality, logistics, communication skills / interviewing skills and last but not least, driving. I have come down to a few drivers that have really caught my attention and I think they will do phenomenal in Formula Drift in the near future with or without Gardella Racing. My top 3 picks are Patrick Cyr, Chelsea Denofa & Eric O’Sullivan. I will end up picking one of these three guys for the position and if the time frame works, I may even have them go head to head in one of the team cars.
I just can’t thank you all enough for your kindness towards my team after all the bull we have been through over the past month and a half. With the passing of Bruce (the team truck driver) and all the sponsor decks we had to work around the clock on, literally, time was just not on our side to keep in touch with all the drivers that signed up. We would like to apologize to those of you that may not have heard back from us right away; we will be sure to thank each and every one of you personally. Stay tuned, you should be hearing from us very shortly as we get ready to announce who will be our new driver in 2011.”
