THE GR DRIVER SEARCH….CONTINUED

Monday, January 31st, 2011

So this past weekend, through the grapevine, I heard that Gary Gardella had one of the drivers from the “Driver Search” stop by the shop. I had to take this opportunity to swing by and see what the hype was about and who it was. So as you can see from the picture above it’s Pat Cyr, rocking a Gardella Racing shirt (at the Gardella Racing garage). I don’t think this is evidence that Pat is their guy, but shows the team is taking the search very serious and from what I’m being told, an announcement will be made soon on who they chose. I really thought it was going to be Eric O’Sullivan but I witnessed this myself and threw my theory right out the window!

Here was a good commercial that was playing on Speed during the Rolex race.

Speed Highlights the Rolex 24 of Daytona

Monday, January 31st, 2011

Great event! There was so much action right down to the final lap. These Ganassi guys have just been dominating this event for the past 6 years. With a great car powered by a BMW engine and talented drivers like Scott Pruett, Memo Rojas, Graham Rahal and Joey Hand, you are bound to get a winning combination.

Shaun White’s Winter X Games Championship Run

Monday, January 31st, 2011

I think it was the double McTwist 1260 to backside alley oop rodeo that sealed the deal for Shaun. He scored the top score of 97.33 during this run.

Torstein Horgmo makes X Games history with big-air Triple Cork

Monday, January 31st, 2011

On Friday night Norwegian snowboarder, Torstein Horgmo became the first snowboarder in X Games history to successfully land a triple cork. Some people are claiming that this could go down as one of the most impressive tricks to ever be pulled off in X-Games competition. On top of all that he crashed earlier in the day and suffered a couple of broken ribs, but still had the balls to try a stunt like this during competition, not only did he nail the trick, but he also took home the gold medal!

More on BFG & Shaun White

Monday, January 31st, 2011

I checked back on YouTube and some more videos have been released. Every single video has been good so far. It was a great idea to use Shaun White during the time of Winter X. He dominated the Super Pipe last night and these commercials were playing as he four-peated the event.

THE EVOLUTION OF DEATH MACHINES

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

Over the past month the site has been going through some transitions with writers and personnel. We’re going to get things back on track and start getting the team more motivated to get some things done, like events, coverage and features, which is where it all started for us over a year ago. You will see a team page pop up over the next few weeks and this will be the start of a new Death Machines.

Scotty Cranmer Speaks

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

Ride BMX just released a few images of their new issue, which I do not think is out on newsstands yet. This article on Scotty has been in the works for over a year and it’s amazing. This kid has worked hard to get where he is and we all respect what he has accomplished at a young age.

BFG steps it up with a Shawn White & Samuel Hubinette collaboration. After watching this video it looks like this may lead into a short series of commercials or videos. Let’s hope there is more to come.
