Juice Soundtrack (Throwback)

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

The movie was shot in NYC in 1992, it featured a young 2Pac Shakur who played the role of Bishop, and Omar Epps who starred as Q. It was instrumental in exposing what life was like as an inner city kid who was growing up in NYC during that time. Juice also features cameo appearances by Queen Latifah, EPMD, Special Ed, Ed Lover, Doctor Dré, Flex Alexander, Fab Five Freddy, and Treach.
Sadly the song was one of Eric B and Rakim’s final songs together, it was the theme song for the film and a single released from the duo’s 1992 album “Don’t Sweat The Technique.” Although the whole “Juice Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” was off the hook, this was the most successful song. Rakim was always known to be a great story teller, and I truly feel this was one of the best stories that he put together!
The second most popular song off the album was “Uptown Anthem” by, Naughty By Nature. It was also released on their self titled album, Naughty By Nature in 1991! To make it even sweeter, Treach had an acting role in the film, (this was his first acting appearance), “We gotta break, We gotta bash, We gotta roll, We gotta smash”

More on GM Racing’s CTS-V

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

Here is a quick teaser on GM Racing’s CTS-V. The team took the car out to Sebring last week to give it a shake down run. The car not only looks insaneit also looks like it will be very competitive in the SCCA. I am not sure if the team was preparing to run the Rolex 24 at Daytona this weekend, but I guess we can find out if we watch it on The Speed Channel. The regular season starts off for SCCA at Homestead Miami on March 4th& 5th.

Haters Gon’ Hate

Think you know how it all goes down inside the walls of Skunk2? With so many here-today, gone-tomorrow companies, it can be difficult to know which are legitimate and which aren’t. Who’s making your stuff? Are they designed in-house? What sort of R&D capabilities do they have? What about thoughtful engineering, state-of-the-art machinery, and top-notch quality control? Can they prove any of this? We can. Watch the video—see what really goes on behind closed doors at Skunk2.

Car Pass Crash from Adrenaline Fueled on Vimeo.

My man is cruising downhill holding his camera and thought it would be great footage if he was to pass a car. All in that moment he catches a heel edge and wipes out really hard. I have to give the dude credit, he takes it like a man, and keeps the camera in tact, and walks away as if it never happened! Time to assess the injuries dude!

Nate Hamilton 2011 New Wrap from Corey Denomy on Vimeo.

I was cruising through the blogs at Fatlace.com today and I came across my good friend Jarod Deanda’s blog, which is updated on whats seems like just about a daily basis. He is an amazing dude with a hell of alot going on. For those of you who may not have heard of him, he’s has a few aka’s / aliases, J-Rod being one, and the other being “The Voice of Formula Drift.”
The first thing I saw on the blog this morning was Nate Hamilton’s new drift machine, and I couldn’t help the urge, so I wanted to share and show the homey J-Rod & Nate some additional love, because this 240 looks; (well as they would put it on Fatlace), “HELLA’GOOD”
Nate is straight outta Texas, and has made a mark for himself on the XDC Drifting scene as a privateer, and looks to now be accumulating some nice sponsorships for himself. On behalf of DEATHMACHINES, we want to wish Nate the best of luck in 2011, and hope we see him on the top of a couple podiums this upcoming year!
