As seen on Rob Drydek’s show, the sidehack is a great way to have some fun and tear up your local neighborhood. Before the show aired many people did not realize how long sidehacks have been around. Now it appears (once again) that history repeats itself, and the sidehack is back in the limelight and ready for the mainstream. “Sometime around 1972, two young men that were already racing bicycles in the first wave of BMX in Southern California took the initiative and developed a BMX bicycle with a sidehack car with the intention to race it. This was John Palfreyman and Doug Takahashi, and they built their first sidehack with the help of John Palfreyman Sr. And so it began…”
now that’s considered “ole’skool”. Apparently these Impakt Sidehacks are coming soon to Walmarts and bike shops all over, but I believe are special order only, so act quick.
