Just a couple of weeks prior to the demolition of the old Hyundai Motor America headquarters building in Fountain Valley California Rhys Millen and his crew filmed a Gymkhana video of their own showcasing Rhys’ crazy out of control driving skills.
Great effort in catching all of the mayhem at he last round of Formula Drift, Irwindale Speedway 2 weeks ago by Loren Haleston. This event shaped up to be one of the best FD rounds in history! The battle for the #1 spot was up in the air, but in the end it seemed nobody could match the numbers posted by Dai Yoshihara this season!
This has been one hell of a season for Formula Drift. In 2 weeks the best drifters in the world will all find themselves trying to sit on the podium in Irwindale. Who will be the champion of the season as it will be determined at the final venue! Currently Yoshihara leads the pack, 19 points ahead of Justin Pawlak, sitting closely behind in the 3rd position is D-Mac, with Forsberg breathing down his neck in 4th. The final round should be hella-interesting!
Some of you may have recognized a familiar face on TV recently during Sunday Night Football.
Formula Drfit star Rhys Millen who also moonlights as a stunt driver in his free time has been featured in the new C-Class commercial for Mercedes Benz.

Tram Tran may very well be one of the most under-rated photographers in the motorsports game, especially in the field of Formula Drift where photographers are a dime a dozen. It takes a special eye, and knowledge of the game to stick out in a flooded market such as FD! I have nothing bad to say about any of the photgraphers that I have met along the way, in fact I truly feel that most of the photographers in Formula Drift are some of the best in the motorsports industry period. Tram Tran just happens to be one of my personal favorites, he has been covering the Formula Drift scene for a couple of years, and recently I was turned onto his work by a friend of mine that came across his website. After reviewing this site I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of “drifting” material that is displayed. He has a clever way of tying together the lifestyle element as well as the element of competition in his photography. I encourage you to click on the link and see for yourself, I’m sure you will also feel the same way!
Rhys Millen dropped a bomb on the motorsports world yesterday at the Chicago Auto Show, debuting his all new Hyundai Voloster Rally Cross car. Not only was there the news of the new car, but there was also the news of a second car in the works for FMX superstar Robbie Madison. We are uncertain if Robbie has a car racing background, but it seems most of the dirt bike guys pick this car thing up well. Best of luck to RMR on the new venture.
