Round 7 of Formula Drift featuring the V-LEDS Viper driven by Dean Karnage Kearney and the Dodge Challenger by Samuel Hubinette.
Dean Kearney is a class act in the drifting scene, last year he was chosen to pilot what many consider to be the baddest car on the grid, the V-LEDS / SHR Dodge Viper! Simply put, the car is aggressive in nature, not only in stance but in performance as well! The car has a slightly longer wheelbase then most of its competitors, and does not disappoint in the horsepower department either. All in all its not an easy car to drift. His season progressively got better at every event this past season. His counterpart Samuel Hubinette also has an amazing car but did not fair so well, seems as if the Challenger has been plagued with issues. It appears Sam has been shying away from drifting and hovering more closely to the Traxxis Torc Truck Series where his luck seems to be working out better for him, having done very well this past season which was his first on that tour. Rumor has it that Sam may be stepping away from drifting which may leave a vacancy for the Dodge Challenger. There has been no word from that camp yet on who will be the successor, but whom ever may be the chosen one will surely have their work cut out for them considering the “plagues” that seem to be holding that car back, and the fact that Dean Kearney seems to be getting better with every lap that he performs in that Viper!
Ladies and Gentlemen the debut song / video off the new “Watch The Throne” album, by none other then, well you already know who!!!!
Mercedes Maybach owners are going to cringe when they see this:
My inside sources tell me that Samuel Hubinette was the stunt double for Kanye West during this video shoot.
To make this whole deal even sweeter is that this Maybach / Rat Rod is supposedly going to be auctioned off to benefit famine relief in East Africa!
All of these Shenanigans will lead us into Wall, NJ next weekend, what I like to consider the most spectator friendly event on the Formula D Schedule! Justin Pawlak has a pretty commanding lead, but I’m sure this event will shake things up a little bit!
Justin Shreeve & Joe Ayala always offer an interesting view from their lens. Stay tuned for the full edit in the upcoming 2011 DVD, which we are definitely looking forward to!
Dean Kearney getting ready to create an impact on the 2011 Formula Drift Scene, I feel this will be a great addition to the Hubinette Racing Program. The car looks amazing, and Dean was a contendor already, however him now being behind the wheel of a Viper makes things a little more interesting. Best of luck to Dean and the crew on a successful Formula D Season from DM.
it seems as if Sam has been getting in some testing sessions, thanks to Dean Kearney who just posted this info. Sam’s Challenger looks amazing, and sounds unreal!
Hopefully we will get some footage of a test session with Kearney who is piloting a Viper this season under the Hubinette Racing banner!
The making of the new Lamborghini LP560-4 Commercial:
A wallopping 560 hp from its new, direct-injected 5.2-liter V10. Shedding approximately 50 lbs from the curb weight allowed the LP560-4 to rocket to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 201 mph, all the while increasing fuel efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions by some 18-percent.
As I began to watch the ad I was impressed by the driving and thought to myself, I wonder who was hired to shoot the driving scenes? Not only were they technical but also looked like alot of fun. Next thing I know, I’m watching, “The Making of The New Lamborghini LP560-R Commercial,” and wouldn’t you know, there he is once again Formula Drift’s, “Crazy Swede,” Samuel Hubinette. I guess moonlighting as a stunt driver has it’s advantages!
Check out the actual ads below that were shot that day below.
One of the best all around drivers in Formula Drift, Samuel, has finally put together a personal site where we can see the talented driving he has done all over the world.
