This video is for those of you that are unaware of Camel Racing. Filmed in high def from Wadi Rum Jordan, this is an opportunity to catch some some behind the scenes footage of an event that you will most likely never witness in person. Camel racing is a popular sport in India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Australia, and Mongolia, & these suckers reach speeds of about 40 mph.
This event however is slightly different from the norm when it comes to conventional camel racing. These camels are being radio-controlled, rather then being ridden by jockeys, hence the reason you see vehicles following so closely in the distance.
Take note of the way that these guys choose to slow the camels down, they are crazy!
